what a great thing you are doing..... only us guys in our 50's will ever know in human history how fantastic these 80cc bikes were..... truly super special time, soooooo sad for these kids that died, but they took with them in their soul these 2 stroke motors that were total magic to us.... and only if you were there can know what i mean.... my first bike was a brand new 81 cr80r.... i grew like a weed and later got a 82 RM 125.... the best memories a kid could have .............GOD BLESS those kids....and GOD bless you Brother

I spent $16.00 on water at the Pala national a few years ago, then the next year I passed on the event, it was another scorcher. Glen Helen is 100% better track. Hopefully like this race, the National will be sweat shirt event in the am.

Great story mate. The 82 RM80Z was my first new bike , it cost me $769.00 in Melbourne Australia. Can't believe 42 years have passed , I also was 14 and still ride today . It's a shame these kids are not around anymore , good on you mate .
